So we've been working on something cool in AskVideo. It's called Collection.
The idea is simple. If you run a product, you probably have a YouTube channel. Probably 50, 80, even 100+ videos explaining different features. But the people landing on your website? They're never going to dig through that channel.
Let me show you the actual problem first.
The Problem
Take our own product, MagicSlides. We've tried everything — adding "how it works" sections, feature pages, integration pages. But the question is: how many sections can you actually add?
We have integrations with Figma, Google Slides, PowerPoint, add-ons, chat, different languages. Every integration has its own features. You can't cram it all onto one homepage.
And our YouTube channel? Let me check... yeah, 87+ videos.
A new user is NOT going through all of them. Not happening.
What Collection Does
So here's what we built. Collection takes all your YouTube videos and turns them into a chat.
Someone lands on your homepage, types what they want, and Maya (our AI agent) answers based on your actual video content.
Let me show you. Say someone wants to use MagicSlides in Figma. They just type "figma".
And Maya answers — Figma can be used to create presentations, here's the integration, here's how to access it, here's the link.
The Best Part — Source Videos
This is the thing I actually love. Every answer has sources. You click the source and it starts playing the exact video at the exact timestamp where we demonstrated it.
So the user isn't just reading an AI answer. They're watching us do the thing, live.
Embed It On Your Homepage
So I was like okay, this chat is nice but how do we make it actually useful? We built an embed.
You copy a snippet, paste it on your homepage, done. Now visitors can ask any question about your product and get answers backed by your own videos.
I'll be rolling this out on MagicSlides and our other products.
One More Example — Why This Beats YouTube Search
Let me show you why this actually matters.
Say someone wants to make a presentation in Malayalam. I never actually made a video specifically about Malayalam. But I did make one about making presentations in different languages.
Collection figures that out. Gives the answer, and the source video starts playing exactly at the part where we demo a Chinese presentation (Malayalam works the same way — MagicSlides supports all languages).
Now try the same search on YouTube directly.
I searched "Bengali" on our own channel. Nothing. "Translate". Nothing. YouTube search inside a channel is basically broken.
But in Collection, the question works. That's the whole difference.
Why This Matters For Your Product
If your product is growing, your content is probably growing with it. You're shipping features faster than you can document them. Sending people to YouTube doesn't work — they can't find anything.
Collection basically turns your YouTube channel into a live, searchable FAQ that lives on your homepage. People get answers. They get proof. They watch you do it.
Try It
If you want to give it a try — head to askvideo.ai, create your first collection.
Connect with me on Instagram or Twitter, share feedback. Would love to help you set it up. We'll also be adding a "book a call" option on AskVideo soon if you want to hop on a quick call and I'll walk you through it.
That's it. Go build your collection.
